Des Moines, Iowa
The route that Dr. Braxton Pulley took to become a chiropractor started with a zoology degree from Iowa State University.
While that may seem an unusual start to his career, Dr. Pulley has embraced the chiropractic profession full force.
In fact, while in college, he worked on his own unique style of combining chiropractic bone work with other soft tissue styles to create an overall biomechanical approach to healing the body.
In 2003, he opened Pulley Chiropractic in Des Moines, Iowa. He is very involved in the community, serving as an adjunct faculty member at William Penn University teaching ethics, critical decision making, wellness for managers, operational management, as well as environmental science.
He serves on several boards including the Heart Connection, Creative Visions, and the Regional Workforce Investment Board. He volunteers his time through the Cub Scouts as well as Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
In his spare time Dr. Pulley likes to spend a lot of time playing with his family. He has a little girl who has him completely wrapped around her finger, as well as a lovely wife who takes good care of him.
His personal goal is to raise the overall credibility of the chiropractic profession to help obtain cultural authority.
